Volyn: lifeguards urged to observe fire safety rules!
Dear citizens! The Department of Public service on emergency situations of Ukraine in the Volyn region urges citizens not to burn the dry grass and leaves, because it harms the environment and health’s people. Such burning may result in ignition of peat bogs, buildings, reduce the soil fertility. Also according to article 77-1 of the Code of Ukraine on administrative offences, persons who burn stubble, meadows, pastures and other natural vegetation or its residues and fallen leaves on the agricultural lands in the right of way of roads and Railways, parks, other green spaces and lawns in the settlements without the permission of bodies of state control in the field of environmental protection or in violation of the conditions of such permit or the failure of the person who obtained the permit for burning of specified vegetation or its residues and fallen leaves on the agricultural land, measures for their timely suppression — entail administrative responsibility. If You notice burning dry grass – try to eliminate it. In the case of large-scale fires immediately report the emergency by phone "101".
