In the Rivne region, 24-year-old resident of Rokytnivskyi district will be imprisoned for 7 and a half years
Rokytnivskyi district court supported the position of the Prosecutor and, having considered the indictment against 24-year-old resident Rokitnenskii district, admitted last found guilty of a criminal offense under part 2 of article 121 of the criminal code of Ukraine (deliberate heavy injury, entailed death of the victim). The state charge was supported by the staff of Sarny local Prosecutor's office. During the pre-trial investigation and the trial, the defendant of the fault did not recognise. However, in confirmation of the guilt of the past and the state prosecution presented to the court and substantiated by cogent and conclusive evidence. So, it is established that in August 2015 the man, being in the territory of one of private enterprises of the regional center, began a fight with 20-year-old worker and struck him at least 3 punches to the head. From the inflicted injuries the victim died on the spot. Later forensic examination determined that the cause of death was a closed brain injury. The sentence of Rokytnivskyi district court of 11.02.2016 man has been sentenced to a punishment of deprivation of liberty for a term of 7 years and 6 months and he must pay the victims of about 120 thousand UAH in material and moral damages. It should be noted that a verdict of guilty has not entered into force, participants of the proceedings have the right to appeal against in an appeal order within the period prescribed by law.
