Law enforcement authorities of Vinnytsia region last year, there were 779 crimes in the sphere of turnover of narcotic drugs,psychotropic substances and their analogues
About it to the International day against drug abuse and drug trafficking reports head Department of statistics in the Vinnitsa region . According to the Ministry of health in 2014 in Ukraine with the purpose of treatment and rehabilitation was to take account of 3791 patients (or 9 persons on 100 thousand population) for the rst time with an established diagnosis of mental disorder and behavior due to the use of narcotic and other psychotropic substances (drug abuse and toxicman). At the end of 2015 in health care institutions in Vinnytsia region (MoH) was under the supervision of 1247 patients with mental disorders and behavior due to the use of narcotic and psychoactive substances, 61% of which are young people aged 18-35. If in 1990 per 100 thousand population accounted for 8 patients on drug dependence in 2000 – 49, in the last year – 78, i.e. 59% more than in 2000 and almost 9 times more than in 1990. Parenteral (injectable) route of administration of drugs is one of the main reasons for the spread of HIV infection. So, every four people with HIV that was on the account in medical institutions of area at the end of 2015, was with the introduction of drugs by injection. In addition, drug abuse inflicts irreparable harm to the health, social danger of it is that it is a criminogenic factor that leads to various, often serious crimes. Law enforcement authorities of Vinnytsia region by 2015 779 registered crimes in the sphere of turnover of narcotic means, psychotropic substances, their analogues or precursors and other crimes against health of the population. Among the identified individuals (431) suspected of committing those crimes, 14% were women, and every third person has previously committed crimes. The proportion of able-bodied persons suspected of committing such crimes, which at the time of Commission of the offence, worked and studied was 73%, unemployed – 2%. Young people (18-28 years) in the total number of persons who have committed a crime in the specified direction, was 36%, or 155 people, juveniles and children – 3%, or 12 people.
