Chairman of regional state administration regional state administration Valery Corum and Deputy Executive Director of the International Renaissance Foundation Taras Duck, a Memorandum was signed on cooperation between Vinnytsia regional state administration and the International Fund "Vidrodzhennya" on introduction in Vinnytsia region police-oriented activities in the community. In a working meeting, which discussed the concept of the Program, also participated: first Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Andriy Gyzhko, first Deputy Chairman of the regional Council Lyudmila shcherbakovskaya, Deputy mayor of Vinnitsa Serhiy Tymoshchuk, Deputy head of SEPL in the Vinnytsia region, Alexander Glance, the representatives of the International Fund "Revival". In his opening speech Valery Cow stressed that cooperation with International Fund "Vozrozhdenie", which is Pro-European and market-oriented organization has traditionally been very important for the Vinnitsa region: "Particularly important is such cooperation during the "when done powerful real step towards reforming the country – created a new patrol police, which has a very large credibility among the population. Yesterday the work was started by the division of patrol service of the National police of Ukraine in Vinnitsa. In the presence of the President and the highest officials of the state the oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people $ 255 new police officers",- said the Chairman of regional state administration. According to him, implementation of effective models of policing based law enforcement needs of local communities is one of the priorities of the state. This goal shaped by the international Renaissance Foundation, implementing in Ukraine a number of projects law enforcement directions. "The goal of our Program is the introduction on the territory of the Vinnytsia region (the district of "cherry" in Vinnitsa, and the town of Bar) effective models of policing based law enforcement needs of local communities. Very important for us is that our projects are translated in practice, not in slogans or on paper" - said Taras Kachka, so in the conditions, when a new police, it is necessary that the initial enthusiasm turned into real help in the daily work of police officers." Under the Programme, it is planned to introduce a communication platform "Electronic office of a district police officer" and the creation of specific project areas "consulting and training centers", which will be the centre of communication with the public, to foster a loyal attitude towards the police and awareness of their own responsibility for safety in their area. The main directions of the pilot project on establishing European format of the police in Vinnytsia region has designated the Director of the program "human Rights and justice" of the International Renaissance Foundation Roman Romanov. Following the exchange of views the participants of the meeting, signed a Memorandum of cooperation. "I am convinced that the Fund's collaboration with the authorities of Vinnytsia region will yield positive results in the near future. Once again I want to thank the leadership of the International Fund "Revival" for the Vinnitsa region, thanks to the signed Memorandum, will be able to actively contribute to the implementation of the projects of the Foundation, which enable to accelerate the implementation in Ukraine of European values in the rule of law, protection of honor and dignity, life and health of citizens",- summed up Valeri Cow. Reference: The objectives of the research, organized by the international Fund "Revival" are following: - to study the population's attitude towards the police in General and in individual employees working in the territory of residence of respondents; - figure out problems and offences that concern people more for everything in the territory where you reside; - figure out the desire of the local population to cooperate with the police in ensuring public order and security at the place of residence; - find out the attitude of the police to the crime situation on the territory of the service problems that, in their opinion, are of paramount importance and the necessity of cooperation with the population and the like.
