Alex Pavlenko: On the Zhytomyr region started additional fertilizing of winter crops for grain
During the meeting with heads of agricultural enterprises of Zhytomyr oblast, the Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine Oleksiy Pavlenko discussed the situation regarding the condition of winter crops. "In the Zhytomyr region for the 2016 harvest winter crops for grain in all categories of farms in 2015 were sown on the area of 138.5 thousand ha, or 105% by 2014. The inspection of crops of winter grain crops as of 18 February shows that the staircase in the Zhytomyr region received on the area of 138.5 hectares. that is 100% of the production. In good and satisfactory condition is 130,3 thousand hectares of seedlings, or 94%, in weak and liquefied – only 8.2 thousand ha, or 6%. This is a very good performance, despite the prolonged drought and the violation of optimum terms of sowing," he said.
