New food legislation of Ukraine: roles and responsibilities

23 February in Zhytomyr oblast scientific library named after. A. Olzhych began a seminar on the theme: "the New food legislation of Ukraine: roles and responsibilities". The seminar is organized by the Department of economic development, trade and international cooperation of state administration and state enterprise "Zhytomyr research-production center of standardization, Metrology and certification". — — "This event is important for our region and enterprises of the region. We had planned to spend it to explain the provisions of the legislation of Ukraine and the European Union, as well as the provisions of the Agreement of free trade zone, our company had the opportunity to compete successfully not only in domestic markets but also European", – said the Director of the Department of economic development, trade and international cooperation of the regional state administration Alexey Shatilo. The project aims at contributing to improve the system of food safety control in Ukraine according to the principle "from field to fork" by aligning Ukrainian legislation, institutional infrastructure and the system of state control in accordance with regulatory and administrative policies and practices of the EU. The participants of the seminar discussed the topical issues of the sphere of power, familiarized with the EU project "Improvement of food safety control in Ukraine", submitted by project Manager Tony Bel.
