Deputies established a Commission to streamline the names of streets of the city of Lutsk
members of the city Council took the decision to establish a Commission for the arrangement of the names of streets in the city of Lutsk. According to the Secretary of the city Council Julia Vasenko, decision making necessary for implementation of the Law of Ukraine "About local government in Ukraine" and the law of Ukraine "About the condemnation of the Communist and national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the prohibition of propaganda of their symbolism". The Commission will work on landscaping and rename existing names of streets and squares of the city of Lutsk, to restore the city's history, and to rename streets whose names are associated with the figures of the totalitarian regime. It has also to develop proposals for naming new streets. The Commission includes the Deputy head of Department of town planning and architecture of city Council, the chief artist of the city of Yaroslav Matveev, head of Department of protection of cultural heritage the Department of culture city Council Peter Tranovich, regional representative of the Ukrainian Institute of national memory Lesya Bondaruk, members of the city Council: Natalia Bunda, Paul danilchuk, Igor Polishchuk Arkady Solomatin, Evgeny Tkachuk, Nicholas fedyk, Maya Shostak, Taras Nobleman.
