"Nicholas Muszynka: portrait on the background of the era" – tomorrow in Uzhgorod launched the international conference
25-26 February Transcarpathian art Institute will hold an International scientific-practical conference devoted to the 80 anniversary since the birth of the outstanding figure of our time. Nicholas Muszynka – known folklorist and Ukrainian art and literary critic, bibliographer, doctor of Philology, member of the International Commission for the study of national culture of the Carpathians and the Balkans, member of the Shevchenko scientific society, President of the Shevchenko scientific society in Slovakia, the Chairman of Association of Ukrainians of Slovakia, foreign academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Within two days scientists and representatives of culture and art from different regions of Ukraine and near abroad countries will discuss issues of study, introducing into the scientific circulation and popularization in Ukraine and abroad of the creative heritage of Nicholas of Murzynki, as well as topical issues of organization of scientific research in the field of cultural studies and art, preservation of cultural monuments, etc. Conference opening ceremony will take place at 11.00.
