In the region the participant of the terrorist organization "DPR" was sentenced in absentia to 15 years in prison
the Prosecutor's office of Ternopil region supported the state charge in the order of the special judicial process against a resident of the Ternopil region criminal offenses under part 2 article 110 and part 1 of article 258-3 of the criminal code of Ukraine (infringement of territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine and participating in terrorist organization). Proved in court that in July 2014 a resident of the Borshchiv district, Ternopil region voluntarily joined a terrorist group "DNR" to commit terrorist acts and participation in armed resistance to the servicemen of the ARMED forces and law enforcement officers who take part in antiterrorist operations on the territory of Donetsk region. In particular, it is established that in the fall of 2014, the accused together with other members of a terrorist group during one of the fighting damaged BMP-2 Armed forces of Ukraine and killed its crew, after which infantry fighting vehicle moved to the use of this terrorist group. After the restoration of military equipment, a resident of Ternopil region became its commander and continued to use it for criminal activity. In addition, he publicly via the Internet encouraged residents of Ukraine to change the borders of the territory and the state border of Ukraine. Due to the fact that the inhabitant of the region at the present time is in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk city, the investigators decided to conduct against him, a special pre-trial investigation, the results of which criminal proceedings with indictment was sent to court for his conviction in absentia. The court sentence a defendant found guilty of committing crimes charges against him and sentenced to 15 years in prison. The beginning of the term of imprisonment will be calculated from the day of his arrest and the actual execution of the penalty of deprivation of liberty.
