In Chernihiv signed a Memorandum on friendly cooperation Chernihiv city Council and Charitable Foundation "Foundation Studio Ershov"
Chernihiv city Chairman Vladislav Atroshenko met with representatives of the Charity Fund "Fund of the Studio Ershov" (Republic of Poland). Among the participants: Gennady Ershov – President of the Foundation "Foundation Studio Ershov", the artist-sculptor (m. gda?sk, Poland); Alexander Sultanov – chief architect of the Scientific research architectural design Institute "Interrpret"; Borys Atroshchenko, head of Department for strategic city development and tourism; Sergey Kalyuzhny, head of the Department of architecture and urban planning of the city Council. During the conversation, the Foundation's President Gennady Ershov, addressing all those present, assured that he cares about the future and the history of Chernigov. He suggested the establishment of a monument to Vladimir the Great in the square in front of the hotel "Ukraine", allowing to improve the adjacent territory and to make the reconstruction of this zone. Yershov presented the draft design of the monument and assured that it will be implemented only after the suggestions made from other sculptors. The mayor emphasized that he will strongly support this idea, but only after a public discussion of this project. V. Atroshenko also invited G. Ershova at a meeting of the public Council under the city head, more specifically to discuss the proposal in the presence of specialists. At the end of the meeting mayor Vladislav Atroshenko and President of the charity Fund Gennadiy Yershov signed a "Memorandum on friendly cooperation Chernihiv city Council and Charitable Foundation "Foundation Studio Ershov". Among the agreements referred to in the document, the parties must facilitate the development of relations and cooperation between Poland and Ukraine, to establish direct contacts between institutions of culture and art, to hold the Days of culture and festivals, to ensure the exchange of best practices with relevant partners in the field of education, tourism and sports. The text also says that this Memorandum shall enter into force from the date of signing and the parties leave open the possibility to expand the scope of its implementation.
