From the beginning of year on fires in Ukraine killed 11 children
every year in Ukraine there are thousands of fires, which killed hundreds of people, including children. So, from the beginning of 2016 fires killed 11 children. In the past year in Ukraine as a result of fires killed 66 children. In particular, on February 24, during the liquidation of fire in private residential house in the village Mlynok Zarichne district, Rivne region rescuers found the bodies of three children (2011, 2013, 2015). On 25 February, during the liquidation of fire in an apartment in the city of Komsomolsk, Poltava region, firefighters found in one of the rooms and rescued two young children: 6 and 4 years old, which is directed to the emergency Department of an urban hospital with poperednica “poisoned by combustion products”. On 26 February, during the liquidation of fire on the second floor of nine-storey residential building in Kam’Kamenetz-Podolsk (Khmelnitsky region) firefighters rescued two minor children living floors above and are unable to independently leave their home due to strong smoke of a staircase. Usually the most tragic accidents occur when children are left home alone, without adult supervision. That is why rescuers SSES of Ukraine appeal to parents with a request to care for the safety of their children. Keep matches and lighters out of the reach of kids places, tell them about the dangers posed by fire! Cultivate within them the skills of safe behaviour, demonstrating by example the careful handling of fire, gas, and the like. Take a few minutes to talk with children about the basic rules of safety while staying at home.
