Learn from the experience of Vinnytsia region by creation of equal opportunities in the development of the community was visited by a delegation from the Eastern regions of Ukraine (+photos)
In the training programme "City of equal opportunities: how to attract disabled people to the processes of social development during the reform" March 4, 2016 the meeting of the participants of the project with the Director of the Department of information activities and communications with the public of the regional state administration Svetlana Vasilyuk. The project is 28.02 – 05.03. 2016 in Vinnytsia region by the Consortium for improving management education in Ukraine in partnership with the NGO "Harmony" in the framework of the project "Reconciliation in Ukrainian society: from the energy of protest to energy creation" with the financial support of the UK Government . During the meeting Svetlana Vasilyuk shared the experience of cooperation of regional authorities and civil society institutions of Vinnytsia region. In particular, informed about the regional programme to promote the development of information space and civil society, in accordance with which funds are annually allocated from the regional budget to support projects of public organizations of the region. "For the implementation of projects of programs of civil society institutions in 2016 is allocated 400 thousand UAH. The main directions of these projects is the socio-economic development, cultural, educational and analytical activity, the fight against corruption", - said Svetlana Vasilyuk. According to her, all the public organizations of the region have the opportunity to submit their projects for consideration by the competitive Commission and get the corresponding sputnikovaya for implementation of their activities. Summing up his speech Svetlana Vasilyuk stressed that one of the priorities of the regional authorities is the close cooperation and interaction with civil society institutions of Vinnytsia region. The program supports projects in the field of peacekeeping initiatives and effective communication to resolve conflict and help stabilise the situation in Ukraine. Participants in the training programs, selected on a competitive basis, meet with the best experience of Ukrainian organizations, participate in seminars, professional training programs, discussions and cultural events. The curriculum was developed by graduates of the project "Training programs for professional growth" (Participant Training Program) and "Public relations" (Community Connections) USAID, who participated in similar exchange programs in the United States or European countries, and taking into account its own experience of participation has developed programs to transfer the Ukrainian experience of local solutions to the various issues at the local community level. Participation in the program will allow each participant to increase their professional level, to exchange practical experience with colleagues from other regions of Ukraine, to establish useful contacts with other members of the professional community and will encourage personal and career development. The program provides a purely practical aspect: the development of each participant's own action plan to solve or prevent this or that problem situation and its further embodiment in their organisation/community. Although the direct funding within the project for the implementation of the action plan is not provided, however the acquired skills will determine the objectives, build a plan of action and writing of the project and the existing opportunities to obtain funding will contribute to the successful implementation of the developed plans. The main objective of all training programmes of the project "Reconciliation in Ukrainian society: from the energy of protest to the energy of creation" – the consolidation and development of Ukrainian society through the exchange of best practices and experiences between different regions of Ukraine and the creation of professional communities of experts in the relevant field.
