Free online courses on the basics of programming, developed by the world's best technological universities, started in Chernivtsi in the framework of the project Technology Nation. Project initiator – BrainBasket Foundation, a non-profit organization, which is engaged in the development of educational market in the field of IT. Also the project was joined by AMC Bridge, Bakotech, Ciklum, Cogniance, GlobalLogic, HeadHunter, Innovecs, Luxoft, MacPaw, Terrasoft, TheAppSolutions, the Corporation “Galaxy” and a lot of people who gave the library their own equipment. "This course will allow anyone to receive a world class education and to learn the basics of the most popular programming languages. This will give students a good Foundation for future learning and employment in the it field", – said the coordinator of the program Technology Nation in the Western region, Chairman of the NGO "Alternativa" Victor Gisuk. Participation in the program does not require prior technical skills. The only criteria is the ownership of computer at the level of a confident user and knowledge of English at upper-intermediate or higher. The training will be held in the format of blended learning, which involves independent work with lecture material, which is posted online, and classroom practice under the guidance of experienced mentors. "We carefully selected the best from the world of educational practice and this is a unique case where the product is both free and so that develops and brings practical benefits.
