Zhytomyr: 7.9 thousand increased cattle in the field
as 01.03.2016 year in all categories of farms of the region were kept 185,8 thousand head of cattle, which is 7.9 thousand (4.4 percent) more to the beginning of the year, including 111,7 thousand cows, which is 0.1 thousand (0,1%), pigs – 165,2 thousand heads, which is 4.6 thousand (2.9 percent) more birds – 6156,2 thousand heads, which is 367,2 thousand (6,3%) more than last year. Sold for slaughter of livestock and poultry in live weight of 16.2 thousand tonnes 0.3 thousand tonnes (1.9 percent) more than last year, made 70,8 thousand tons of milk, which is level with last year, eggs 63,0 million units, up 3.8 million (or 6.4%) more. According to the information of the main Department of statistics in the Zhytomyr region in January-February, 2016 the index of gross output of animal husbandry in all categories of farms amounted to 101.9% last year, including in agricultural enterprises – 109,1%, in households – 100,4%. On farms produced of 15.1 thousand tonnes of milk, 0.8 tonnes (5.6 per cent) more than last year, average milk yield per cow is 654 kg milk, 79 kg (13.7 per cent) more than last year. Sold for slaughter of livestock and poultry in live weight – 2.3 thousand tons ( 0.1 thousand tons (4.5 percent) more) produced eggs of 11.4 million units, 1.1 million (8.8 per cent) less. Received 27186 C product of raising cattle and poultry in live, which is 4090 kg (17.7 percent) more than last year. The indexes of productivity of cattle rearing and fattening farms in the region for January-February amounted to 517 g of average daily growth of cattle and 527 g of pigs. The daily increase of milk production to the level of the previous year was noted in 9 districts in 6 districts of production saved at last year's level. Daily milk yield from cows is 12.2 kg of milk, which was 0.4 kg more than last year. The highest productivity in the farms of Brusilovsky district – 18.2 kg of milk per cow (3.0 kg more), Popilnyansky – 17,0 kg (1.5 kg more).
