Iran has no plans to freeze oil production – Minister

Iran has no plans to freeze oil production that is jeopardizing the agreement reached in February between Russia and Saudi Arabia, which has to contain the fall in world prices for this product. It is reported . The oil Minister of Iran BGAN Zanganeh said in an interview’Yu Press TV on March 13 that other countries-oil producers have a "leave us alone". Zanganeh added that Iran will consider such proposals only after its production will reach 4 million barrels a day – the level that Iran was prior to the introduction of international sanctions because of concerns over its nuclear program. Iran aims to regain its lost market share, said Zanganeh. According to the Organization of countries-exporters of oil (OPEC), the current production of Iran is between 2.8 to 3.5 million barrels per day. Russia and Saudi Arabia signed an agreement on production cuts, which was also joined by Venezuela and Qatar. These measures should stabilise prices that have fallen two-thirds from the peak recorded in mid-2014, when a barrel Brent gave $ 115.
