The meeting was chaired by Deputy Chairman – Director of the Department of education and science of regional state administration Igor Ivasyuk. "The appointment of scholarships to figures of culture and art of the region was begun in 2004, and it was very good and useful solution, since culture, art in different times is always in need of charitable financial support. Therefore, any society that cares about its future, this support",- said the Chairman of the Commission Igor Ivasyuk. The commissioners unanimously endorsed 40 candidates for the scholarships, which were offered for consideration and read out by the head of Department of culture of regional state administration Stanislav Gorodinskii and Chairman of the Vinnytsia oblast organization of National Union of writers of Ukraine Mykhailo Kamenica. "We see this scholarship as a reward for his artistic merit, but exclusively as the material support of students of creative professions, actors of regional musical-drama theatre. M Sadowski and academic puppet theater,folk artists, painters, writers and journalists",- said Igor Ivasyuk. The commissioners decided to appeal to the specialized departments of regional state administration with the aim of at least doubling the bonus Fund for scholarships in the field of culture and arts, as the scholarship in 2016 is only 250 UAH (for students – 200 UAH.). In total for the current year's premium Fund amounts to 117 thousand hryvnias.
