March 10-11, at the invitation of the European centre for minority issues, the delegation of Vinnitsa in the composition of the head of Department on nationalities and religions of the regional state administration Igor Slackage and the Chairman of Vinnytsia regional Association of Belarusians Vladimir Cocalari participated in the workshop "Partnership of state structures and civil society in ethno-cultural region" in Minsk. The event was aimed at establishing cooperation between state authorities, civil society representatives, national societies in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine with the aim of sharing the most effective practices of application of national anti-discrimination legislation and ensuring participation of national communities in public life through Advisory mechanisms. The delegation of Vinnitsa familiarized the seminar participants with the activities of Vinnytsia regional Council of national societies and focused on the activities of the Centre of national cultures, which, according to Igor Maleckova is necessary for the formation and strengthening of intercultural interaction among representatives of national-cultural societies of the region and allows the representatives of national communities to promote, preserve and develop traditions, customs, languages, national societies, strengthen national peace and harmony in the region, to consolidate the society. In conclusion, the meeting participants expressed interest in continuing cooperation in the field of ethnic dialogue through joint conferences, round tables, seminars.
