Volyn region: rescuers warn: do not burn dry grass!

Employees DSNS in Volyn region continue to carry out preventive work to prevent fires in ecosystems resulting from burning of dry grass, drawing on the contributions of the personnel of the environmental Inspectorate, social services. Thus, on 15 March during carrying out working off Nosachenko rural Council staff Basic RO SSES of Ukraine in the Volyn region once again reminded rural residents the basic rules of fire safety. Pensioners, lonely elderly citizens - drew attention to the requirements when using heating devices, Smoking men warned against Smoking in bed, and with those who are in the yard already burnt garbage after the household works noted that there are rules that should be followed. To raise awareness of the peasants rescuers said that most of the fires on peat land and forests, as a rule, it happens due to burning of dry grass. While the owners will get rid of so last year's vegetation, there is a constant risk of spread of fire to adjacent forest stands, bogs, residential and commercial buildings, Railways and power lines. Employees of service of Rescue has called on everybody to be cautious and observe fire safety rules and not to burn dry grass and debris, because it causes harm to the environment and health’s people. Such cases the burning can lead not only to massive fires in different buildings, they reduce soil fertility and reduce crop yields. Also, according to article 77-1 of the code of Ukraine about administrative offenses, for such actions the citizens are brought to administrative responsibility.
