In the Zhytomyr regional state administration on March 15, the Chairman of regional state administration held an expanded meeting on mentoring Armed Forces of Ukraine, execution of local budgets, optimization of costs of educational subsidies. During the meeting Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Yaroslav Laguta informed those present about the organization and financial support in the field of mentoring the Armed Forces of Ukraine in accordance with the decree of the President of Ukraine. "The most important task that stands before us, the heads of the local authorities – to do everything to maintain a combat-ready professional army. It is not only to provide modern weapons, but also continued assistance in solving problems of logistical support of the army," said Yaroslav Laguta. According to him, for the purpose of providing a system of care already established a coordinating Council on the organization of patronage of military units of Armed Forces of Ukraine, National guard of Ukraine, composed of: heads of structural subdivisions of regional state administration, sponsored the commanders of military units and heads of bodies of Executive power, bodies of local self-government, which are the chiefs of the military units. Also prepared the draft order of the Chairman of regional state administration "About the implementation of patronage of military units of Armed Forces of Ukraine, National guard of Ukraine". To improve logistical support of military units of Armed Forces of Ukraine and National guard of Ukraine in the field of Programme logistical support units, institutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zhytomyr regional military Commissariat, Zhitomir frontier detachment, units of the National police of Ukraine, security Service of Ukraine, National guard of Ukraine in Zhitomir area. To increase financial resource for providing voluntary assistance to military units of Ukrainian Armed Forces and National guard of Ukraine prepared a draft decision on amendments to the above Program. In particular, it provides allocation from the regional budget for the sponsored five units of 1 million UAH to 200 thousand UAH each part. In addition, there are funds from local budgets. Yaroslav Laguta emphasized that the funds will be used to purchase uniforms, equipment, protection, connection, construction materials, electrical equipment, sanitary facilities, furniture, tools, spare parts, fuel and lubricants, office equipment and the like.
