At the tourism exhibition in Berlin to Chernivtsi met more than three thousand visitors

Tourist potential and attractiveness of Chernivtsi was presented at the largest tourist exhibition in Berlin. This was at the briefing at city Hall told the participants: the main expert of Department of tourism of the city Council Nikolay Nkula, the Deputy of city Council, Chairman of the Association of hoteliers Andrew Pascalo, head of the travel Agency “Cruise 2000″ Igor Kireev. From 9 to 13 March 2016 Berlin hosted the 50th anniversary international tourism exhibition ITB Berlin, which brought together the 5 continents, 187 countries, and approximately 10 000 exhibitors and 180 000 visitors (of which 120 000 – business visitors). It was held in 26 exhibition halls with total area 160 000 sq. m. In the framework of ITB Berlin 2016 at the national stand of Ukraine was presented tourist potential and attractiveness of Chernivtsi. ITB Berlin is the largest annual event in the tourism industry and one of the world's largest tourist exchanges. According to many experts, ITB Berlin optimally reflects the main trends of development and segments of international tourism, among which sea and river cruises, eco-tourism, sports tourism, cultural tourism, family holidays with children, adventure tourism and other segments, making it the best platform for global touristic offers. The appeal of the exhibition ITB Berlin 2016 rose to 7 billion euros, last year amounted to 6.7 billion euros. More than 5,000 accredited journalists from 80 countries and about 380 bloggers from 30 countries were reported and were reporting from ITB Berlin. The exhibition was attended by 124 delegations, the members of the four Royal houses, 48 of 87 Ministers and ambassadors from around the world. Chernivtsi already in fourth time took part in ITB Berlin. This year the national stand of Ukraine were represented by 4 cities: Chernivtsi, Kiev, Odessa, Lviv and 12 business members. The purpose of the city's participation in the Berlin exhibition positioning tourism opportunities, achieving maximum awareness around the world that will help increase tourist flows and growth of Chernivtsi. Chernivtsi were represented printed promotional products, external data storage media, video and photo presentations of the most interesting sites and events that attract tourists and create a special atmosphere of hospitality. At the exhibition stand of Chernivtsi was visited by the Ambassador of Ukraine in Germany Andrey Melnik, Deputy of the Bundestag, Chairman of the Committee on international relations j?rgen Klimke. This exhibition is the next step to global attention with the tourist resources of Ukraine and our city. Within 3 days the stand of Chernivtsi was visited by over 3000 visitors. Established contacts with tour operators from India, Sri Lanka, Slovakia, Moldova, Romania and Bangladesh. Materials about tourist potential of Chernivtsi presented to participants from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Tajikistan. The President of the company Reisewelt Ukraine Paul Tomandl offered at future exhibitions to present the tourism potential of the joint exhibition booth of the cities of Western Ukraine.
