Sad news rocked the Ternopil region – March 18, stopped beating heart of a journalist, publicist, editor, Honored journalist of Ukraine, Chairman of the Ternopil regional organization of the National Union of journalists of Ukraine Nikolay Yakovlevich Rothman. For many years he faithfully worked in the journalistic field: in the newspaper "Free life" (Deputy General Secretary, head of Department, Deputy editor); 1990 — in the newspaper "Freedom" (Deputy editor, 1995-2005 editor — in-chief); from December 2005 to 2008 — the founder and chief editor of the newspaper "Fourth power". Since 2002 Nikolai Rothman third consecutive term heads Ternopil regional organization of the NUJU. Member of the editorial Board of the 3-volume encyclopedic edition of "the Ternopil region. The history of the towns and villages". Author of publications in the press, collective collections, co-author of the book "Taras Shevchenko in the memory of generations".
