In Zhytomyr presented a regional consultants
March 21st, the volunteers were provided by the regional consultants on decentralization. Executive Director of the Zhytomyr regional branch of the Association of cities of Ukraine Tatiana Kuharskaya noted: "Our organization is one of the few organizations that even on the highest levels, represents, defends and promotes the interests of cities. Develops proposals for changes to the current legislation, drafts bills and other normative acts relating to the life of cities. Renders informational, organizational and consultative expert assistance to the cities-members of AUC. Conducts training activities for officials of local governments on various topics". In 2016 the Association implements several international projects. In particular, two of them have already started in the Zhytomyr oblast: "Development of the policy of strengthening local self-government (PULSE)" and "Transparent, accountable, effective budgetary process at the local level in Ukraine (PBI)". As part of these projects in Zhytomyr region counselors: * consultant in communication and promoting success of the decentralized reform Svetlana Prokofiev (tel: (067) 353 84 82); * consultant on legal issues Alexander Pylypchuk (tel: (067) 84 353 75); * consultant fiscal Affairs Galina Semenets (tel: (067) 353 05 84). Regional consultants provide clarification on issues arising in the implementation of the decentralized reform.
