Zhytomyr region: the deputies heard the report of RSA on economic and social development of the region in 2015
on March 22, was held the meeting of the standing Committee for humanitarian Affairs of the regional Council under the chairmanship of the Deputy of Elena Malaguti with the participation of Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Yaroslav Laguta and first Deputy Chairman of the regional Council Vladimir Shirma. The deputies examined more than 20 issues. Among them is the question of the status of implementation and results of the sectoral regional programmes of the amendment, the report on execution of the regional budget for 2015, the question is about educational institutions and cultural institutions, submission of electronic petitions, etc. The members of the Commission heard the report of the regional state administration on implementation of Program of economic and social development of Zhitomir region for 2015, which was announced by the Deputy head of the Department of economic development, trade and international cooperation Victor Gradowski. According to him, last year the Programme was carried out 27 regional programs, totaling more than 84 million USD. During the year the industry managed to achieve growth of 9.8%, the production volumes have increased in light, pharmaceutical industries, metallurgy, mechanical engineering. The agricultural industry has reduced production by 8% due to weather conditions. However, in the livestock sector overall saw an increase of 3%. Work continues in the sphere of investment activity. One of the largest projects in the past year, which began to be implemented, was the attraction of Zhytomyr region the German company "Kromberg & Schubert Ukraine". In General, 2015 is attracted foreign investments in amount of 4.5 million US dollars. Despite the economic situation and the decrease in exports, there is a positive balance of foreign trade of almost 200 million US dollars.
