Volyn region: psychologist SSES conducted a session with future rescuers regarding behaviour in crisis situations
March 22, employees of psychological service of Management of gschs of Ukraine in the Volyn region held classes for future rescuers – participants of the training point rescue squad of special purpose Control DSNS of Ukraine in the Volyn region on the theme of "Basic mental state and the reactions of personnel of gschs of Ukraine in extreme situations. Psychological self-regulation as a means of increasing the efficiency of activity in extreme conditions". The exercise was aimed at training of future rescuers from the point of view of crisis psychology, formation of their psychological readiness to perform official duties’relations. In modern conditions the activity of the State service of Ukraine for emergency situations of the utmost importance the preservation of life and health’I workers, including mental health’I, first of all, during their stay in crisis, extreme situations. Rescuers, like no one, almost daily faced with situations of real threat of life and health’s, their eyes happen various crisis situations that negatively affect their mental and physical state. Special attention during the session was paid to the issue of psychological self-regulation in extreme conditions, and its main methods. During the exercises the trainees of the training item had the opportunity to not only read the theory part of psychology of human behavior during the stay in extreme situations, but practically perform exercises to regulate your own emotional state. Also for future lifeguards were shown a documentary film about the psychology of fear. The class was organized in the form of discussion, audience members expressed their expectations for future activities. In the future it is planned to conduct lessons on the basics of extreme and crisis psychology, in particular psychological assistance to the affected population in emergency situations.
