Lviv: "Sun" flicker – for the safety of young pedestrians

In the Lviv region summed up the results of the project “I see you!" initiated Sambir city Council. On this occasion, students organized for celebration of road safety. The police reminded the children the rules of behavior on the street, and the organizers of the project gave young pedestrians "solar" flicker. The meeting with students was held on the eve of holidays. About 400 students in fourth and p’atih classes gathered in the auditorium of the people's house in Sambor. Deputy mayor Natalia SRAM’as told to children of the organizers of the project “I see you!". She noted: during the campaign in Sambir schools were held interesting lessons for children. Teachers and police officers reminded the kids how to behave on the road and talked about the necessity of using reflective elements in the evening. In addition, in the framework of the project students together with teachers created their own thematic videos. One of them, the children watched during the meeting in the people's house. After that the audience asked police major Galina Lemishko. She told the children what dangers can expect them on the street and advised what to do to not get into an accident. The representative of police has paid special attention to rules of pedestrian safety in the dark and explained to the children why it is important to be bright and visible on the road. At the end of the celebration students received from the initiators of the project "solar" flicker that will protect them even at dusk. Peter Maier-Rasmussen, one of the organisers, said: “We came to Sambor, to ensure the safety of kids. Students attended school and not the hospital". Addressing the children, he said: “I Really hope that you will be using these reflectors, because it is the key to your safety".
