In Lutsk dismantle the monument to Stepan Boyko
Deputies at session of city Council took the decision to dismantle the monument to Stepan Boyko is in the green area on the street Lesia Ukrainka, 24. The draft decision was prepared by the Deputy of city Council Pavel Danilczuk. Stephen Boiko – Secretary of Volyn regional Committee of the Communist party of Western Ukraine, which was created and funded by the Communist party of the Soviet Union. Therefore, according to the Law of Ukraine "About the condemnation of the Communist and national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the prohibition of propaganda of their symbolism" the leaders of this level fall under its action. Paul danilchuk believes that such decisions contribute to the liberation of society from the influence of Communist ideology. There was a proposal from MPs in place of dismantled monument to install a chapel. Andriy Kozyura proposed monument to Stepan Boyko to pass in the Volyn Ethnography Museum.
