the Chairman of the State service of Ukraine on labour Roman Chernega on March 31 met with the Deputy Chairman – chief of staff of regional state administration Igor Sansom and Vice-Chairman of regional state administration Yuriy Eureka. Roman Chernega stressed that only a constructive social dialogue with employers and government agencies is the only way to reduce the level of industrial injuries and deaths at work. He assured the meeting participants that Gastrula Ukraine is not a punitive body and puts the focus on prevention, through education and audit function. Only in cases of revealing of factors of the real threat to the life and health of workers, will be more rigid methods of influence. "our special attention is paid to compliance with labour rights of demobilized soldiers, who are regulated by the decree of President of Ukraine ¹ 150 "On additional measures on social protection of participants of anti-terrorist operation", - stated Roman Chernega. – This year we received nearly 400 applications from various regions of Ukraine. After all demobilized soldiers return, and their workplace is already taken". In addition, special attention is focused on the issue of occupational injuries. "People don't pay enough attention to questions of labour protection, - stated the Chairman of the State service of Ukraine on labour. – I especially want to pay for the use of elevators. Unfortunately, unfortunate incidents happen across the country. In addition, this year marks 25 years of operation of lifts. So please conduct proper awareness among the employees of Executive authorities and local self-government". Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Yuriy Yura informed that in region the urgent need to strengthen the role of the social partners and employment services for the implementation of active employment policy of the population, improvement of legislation, the expansion of areas of cooperation with employers and social partners, and to facilitate employment of internally displaced persons and demobilized citizens, including members of ATU. "In the regional state administration regularly takes part in the regional meeting of the temporary Commission on questions of repayment of debt on a salary (cash security), pensions, stipends and other social benefits, - said Yuri Eureka. – Now, wage arrears in the region is about 5 MLE UAH". During the working meeting discussed issues of staffing vacancies with qualified workers and providing services to vulnerable segments of the population.
