The FSB stated that it has no case against journalist Piontkovsky – the lawyer

Russian lawyer mark Feigin said that the Federal security service of the country told him that he had not initiated a criminal case against publicist Andrei Piontkovsky. It is reported . Feigin issued a letter of response to his request from the FSB on Twitter and added: “we Believe that the lawyer Feigin defended publicist Piontkovsky". The lawyer recalled that Piontkovsky, dornik, was forced to leave Russia because of the threat of prosecution for his article on the website «echo of Moscow». This article is concerned Chechnya. Another famous Russian lawyer Nikolai Polozov (both of them, among other things, protecting Hope Savchenko and several Ukrainian citizens in the Russian courts) commented on the result of the query Mark Feigin: «well, the FSB refused to open a case against Piontkovsky. Brilliant work of the lawyer Mark Feigin in the preparatory phase, I believe". In February, the press reported that Piontkovsky left Russia, fearing prosecution for his views. We are talking about the article Piontkovsky published in his blog on the website of the radio station «Ekho Moskvy» on 23 January about the relationship of the Central Russian authorities and society of Chechnya under the heading "Bomb, ready to explode". According to the Russian press, the Russian Prosecutor General's office found in the article "the signs of incitement of acts aimed to violation of territorial integrity of Russia, as well as information that stirs hatred and animosity, demeaning the dignity of groups of persons on grounds of nationality and origin". Consequently, the Prosecutor General's office forwarded the materials of this article to the Federal security service of Russia to decide whether to prosecute the author of the article, as well as employees «echo of Moscow», responsible for its appearance on the website.
