District state administrations, Executive committees of city councils of cities of regional importance established appropriate organizational committees and develop action plans. Only in the Ternopil region registered at 44 939 persons, of which is a status affected by the Chernobyl disaster. Among them: disabled 984 persons; participants of liquidation of consequences of accident on CHAES – 2 505 persons (42 persons - participants of liquidation of nuclear accidents); victims of the Chernobyl accident who were evacuated from the exclusion zone and resettled from radioactively contaminated areas – 34 949; children affected by the Chernobyl disaster – 7 485 people (disabled children – 5 people); 494 widows of deceased citizens, whose death is related to Chernobyl catastrophe consequences.
