Management DSNS Ukraine in Chernivtsi region appeals to citizens about the danger of burning the dry grass
From the beginning of the year in the Chernivtsi region recorded 24 fire from-for burning of a dry grass. Often their emergence is facilitated by the fact that citizens impose order on their farms and burn with dry grass. Management DSNS Ukraine in Chernivtsi region appeals to inhabitants of edge: pam’remember that for the occurrence of such fires is enough of a carelessly thrown cigarette butt or matches or careless handling of fire when you fire, which can lead to irreparable consequences: the destruction of buildings, material assets and injury and even loss of life. Fires caused by burning dry grass, is dangerous because in a short period of time to gain large. In the open air in calm weather, the fire can spread at a speed up to 4 miles per hour, and in windy – up to 30 km; the height of the flame’I reaches 2 meters. However, the greatest danger is fire that is distributed in a strong wind with sudden changes of direction and speed. Typically, the area of such fires in 15-30 minutes 2-3 times. The suppression of such fires, the stand’connected with overcoming great difficulties, the expenditure of considerable material resources and human resources. Let us remind that according to article 77-1 of the code of Ukraine on administrative offences, burning of stubble, meadows, pastures, areas with Prairie, wetland and other natural vegetation and fallen leaves in parks and other green plantations and lawns in the settlements without the permission of bodies of the state control in the field of environmental protection or violations of conditions of such permission – entails administrative responsibility. Management DSNS Ukraine in Chernivtsi region reminds Bukovina: to prevent the risk of fire due to the ignition of a dry grass, follow the rules of fire safety: - be extremely careful in circulation with open fire; - do not leave unattended a roaring fire; - do not light fires near the houses and estates; - do not burn dry grass. Compliance with fire safety regulations do not require any efforts or material costs, but their timely and retive implementation will allow to protect themselves from harm.
