In Zhytomyr discussed the preparations for the 30 th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster
5 April, the press center of the Zhytomyr oblast state administration held a meeting of working group on preparation and holding events devoted to the 30 anniversary from the date of the Chernobyl disaster with the participation of Deputy Chairman of Zhytomyr regional state administration Yaroslav Laguta, first Deputy Chairman of the regional Council Vladimir Shirma and Vice-Chairman of the regional Council Natalia Rybak, representatives of public organizations and heads of structural units. The meeting discussed in detail the preparations and execution of tasks of the regional implementation plan. "We keep on controlling the tasks that were put to the working group at previous workshops. First is the issue of social protection. We spoke about the issues on April 25 and 26, how and what needs to happen minute by minute", – said Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Yaroslav Laguta. In Zhitomir lived 8 thousand liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster. In the area there are many thematic exhibitions in libraries, museums and exhibitions dedicated to the Day of memory of victims of the Chernobyl disaster in the Zhytomyr region.
