For two weeks in Ukraine there will be a team of experts civil protection the EU
4 April took place the meeting of the First Deputy Chairman of gschs of Ukraine Oleg Melicharkova with a team of experts of civil protection of the European Union. Expert mission headed by Philippe Perret will be in the country for two weeks. During the workshop the participants agreed on the procedure of work of experts and the main issues that will be discussed during this period. “We appreciate the practical help provided by our country of the European community towards the accession of Ukraine to the civil protection Mechanism of the European Union. In addition, the State emergency service has begun the process of reforming the system of civil protection. Therefore, the international experience and assistance of European experts in this matter is very important to us", - said during the meeting First Deputy Chairman Oleg Malceski SSES. Within two weeks a team of experts together with the specialists of the state emergency service will review the status of implementation of recommendations of the Ukrainian side presented results of work of the EU mission in Ukraine in March-April 2015, and agree on further ways of implementing these recommendations. Will also discuss the issues of implementation by Ukraine of the EU Directive “Seveso III", which aims to prevent major accidents involving dangerous substances and limit their social and environmental impacts.
