Chernivtsi: city Council held a Skype conference with representatives of the Timisoara
Skype-conference with the Chairman of the Association “Timisoara the European Capital of culture 2021” Simona Neumann was held in Chernivtsi city Council. During the conference the representative of Timisoara shared their experience regarding the nomination of Timisoara for the title of European capital of culture 2021 and expressed readiness to provide all necessary support to Chernivtsi to be nominated for the title European capital of culture in 2024. The main criterion of success is the presence of a long-term strategy of cultural development of the city and therefore the Association is ready to provide all necessary Advisory support in developing the strategy for Chernivtsi. The parties agreed that in the near future will be signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement between Chernivtsi and Timisoara in the cultural sphere and defined specific projects of cooperation. Alex Kaspruk, in turn, expressed the readiness of Chernivtsi to support the candidacy of Timisoara for the title of European capital of culture 2021, and for that purpose to organize joint cultural events in Chernivtsi, in Timisoara.
