Compared with the previous year in Vinnytsia region has increased cattle and bird
According to preliminary data of the Main Department of statistics in the Vinnitsa region as of April 1, 2016 in all categories of farms of the region were cattle 324,3 thousand heads, including cows – 160,3 thousand heads, pigs – 366,5 thousand heads, sheep and goats – 43.7 thousand heads, poultry – almost 28 million heads. Compared to the previous year increased cattle numbers by 2.9%, poultry – by 7.4%, but decreased the number of cows on 0,6%, pigs – by 0.4%, sheep and goats by 10%. For January–March 2016 the region's farms sold livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight 116,9 thousand tons more than in the previous year by 6.4%, milk – 173,7 thousand tons (1.8%) and eggs – 199,1 million pieces (more than 12.0%).
