Chernihiv region: rescuers warn citizens not to burn dry vegetation, and to exercise caution in dealing with fire

Also there are cases of burning last year's grass or stubble along the sides of roads, on the fields of farms and open areas. Furthermore, carelessness in handling of fire show and visitors to forest areas. Unfortunately, nobody reflects on the fact that in addition to pollution, there is a threat of destruction by fire of buildings and structures, and in some cases and people's lives. During the last days in Chernihiv from above stated reasons there was 9 fires on a total area of over 30 hectares. In Andreevka gorodnyanskiy district as a result of careless handling of fire there was a fire house. The fire destroyed the roof, damaged the walls. In Chernihiv district firefighters put out the fire of 0.1 ha of flooring in a wood near S. Kiselyovka, and near S. Kolychivka put out a fire of dry grass on the area of 15 hectares. in addition a fire in ecological systems registered in the territory of Repki, Kozelets, gorodnyanskiy, Novgorod-Seversky areas, and Chernihiv. In connection’connection with this, rescuers SSES of Ukraine urged residents and tourists to be careful and cautious and to show greater attention and care. Remember to burn dry grass and stubble in fields, roadsides, and in settlements is strictly prohibited.
