Bukovina: in the framework of the action "to Prevent. Save. Help" the high school students reminded security rules
12 April at the Novoselytsya school had conducted a public campaign "to Prevent. Save. To help". It became possible thanks to the fruitful cooperation of Management of gschs of Ukraine in Chernivtsi region with the regional organizations Voluntary fire society and red cross Society of Ukraine. The event was attended by students of the school, and the main purpose was to prevent accidents with children and teaching them the safety rules. In the beginning of the event, the organizers familiarized the students with procedures in case of fire, the discovery of an unknown suspicious subject, what to do in case of an emergency of a different kind and how to provide pre-medical help. Also representatives of the school were handed brochures with safety rules for further use during the learning process. For all children within the school organisers have arranged 4 special demonstration sites, each of which discussed actions in specific emergencies and events. So, the specialists of group of pyrotechnic works of the SSES showed his equipment to perform assigned tasks and samples of explosive objects that are found in the region. Rescuers also demonstrated to all students fighting clothes of firemen and special equipment which is on arms of rescuers. For this purpose a gymnasium has arrived fire truck. However, the specialists of the Chernivtsi regional organization of the red cross Society of Ukraine told the children about the importance of correct rendering pre-medical assistance and how it should be done. So, the students were shown what to do if a person lost consciousness, the carrying out of indirect massage of heart and artificial respiration, how to help with burns and injuries. Students are also taught proper use of primary fire extinguishing means, in this case fire extinguishers. For this purpose, representatives of the regional organization of the Voluntary fire society of Ukraine told the children about the characteristics of fire extinguishers and demonstrated how to use them properly. At the end of the event everyone was able to try on fire fighting gear of rescuers, trying to liquidate a conditional fire by using fire extinguisher and to provide pre-medical help. Children got positive emotions, and also, very importantly, a lot of useful knowledge.
