Lutsk is establishing partnerships with the Slovak city in the World
To the Lutsk city Council was visited by the delegation consisting of the mayor Suite (Slovak Republic) Miroslav Skvarek, representatives of companies “Chemosvit” Michal Lyakh, Jan Acsai, “Terichem-Lutsk” Rudolf Krinaki, “Lutskplastmas” Eugene Romaniuk. Welcoming the guests, mayor Mykola Romaniuk wished them a good and interesting stay in Lutsk. He noted that there is active international cooperation. Lutsk has 16 partner cities in 9 countries around the world, with whom we cooperate in various fields. However, unfortunately, friendly relations with cities of the Slovak Republic has not been established. Mykola Romaniuk said that the city Council is actively involved in various projects. Managed to raise significant funds for the implementation of various projects in the framework of cross-border cooperation programme “Poland-Belarus-Ukraine”. Thanks to this upgraded Lutsk zoo where he built a modern city for lions and bears, infrastructure and the like. Active cooperation with NEFCO, EBRD, world Bank and other agencies to attract funds for the implementation of energy saving measures. So, started realization of the project of modernization of the district heating system of the city of Lutsk, which provides for the modernization of equipment, elimination of basement boiler houses, installation of ITP and the boiler on alternative fuels and the like. Will be held works on thermal modernization of public sector institutions on borrowed funds. Mykola Romaniuk said that the city authorities are interested in cooperation with the city of the World in the field of culture, exchange of visits between youth, business and the like. Mayor of the World ?kvarek Miroslav noticed that he in Lutsk liked it, because it's a beautiful city. Noted that the mutual meetings are very important because help to improve relations, to erase borders. According to him, it is necessary to study another culture and traditions. ?kvarek Miroslav noted that the city has retained the Slovak national customs. He stressed that communication between peoples is very important. According to him, not so much cities as partners in Lutsk. ?kvarek Miroslav said he was ready to cooperation with Lutsk and the implementation of joint projects. At the end of the meeting Mykola Romaniuk and ?kvarek Miroslav signed a Memorandum of cooperation between Lutsk and the World.
