Bukovina: rescue teams joined to conduct a "Day of civil defense"
15 April in Chernivtsi gymnasium ¹ 3, which is located at vul. Master in the regional center was carried out “Day of civil protection". This event was aimed at learning the rules of safety of heads of educational institutions of Chernivtsi, the persons responsible for civil protection, and students of secondary schools. The event joined the staff of the office DSNS Ukraine in Chernivtsi region, Chernivtsi city Council, Educational-methodical center of civil protection and life safety specialists and Chernivtsi regional centre of emergency medical aid and disaster medicine. In the beginning of the event a workshop was held with Directors and heads of civil protection training institutions of the regional center, during which everyone present was proven, what safety rules should be adhered to in the school not have any kind of emergency event. After the seminar there was held the practical part of the event. To do this, it was announced that in the school spilled mercury. The management of the institution was carried out the evacuation of students and staff to a safe place. For liquidation of consequences of emergency at the scene were sent to the specialists of the Department of radiation and chemical protection emergency rescue unit rescue squad of special purpose Control SSES and health care workers. Rescuers spent the demercurization of the premises, and the doctors examined students and employees and provided necessary medical help. In addition, the event was held practical exercises on the use of fire extinguishers. Everyone can try using it to liquidate a conditional fire. At the end of the event were summed up the results of the "Day of civil protection". Such events to Chernivtsi region have already become traditional. Conduct seminars for management staff of educational institutions of the region and for their students. This allows you to remind people of safety rules and teach them how to act in case of emergencies.
