Stepan Barna participated in thousands of the way of the cross through the streets of Ternopil

Thousands-strong procession passed through the streets of Ternopil. Believers meditated on the suffering of the Savior, asked for peace and calm in Ukraine, the termination of the war. Headed the procession, Archbishop and Metropolitan of Ternopil-Zboriv, Bishop Vasyl Semeniuk, Bishop and assistant Bishop Teodor Martyniuk. Spiritual event brought together all the clergy, government representatives, public organizations, participants of the ATO, volunteers, residents of the city and region. Alternately, the cross was carried by representatives of various social strata – priests and nuns, government officials, military personnel, volunteers, representatives of various movements and communities, the media. "This procession we record the prayer for Ukraine, for its territorial integrity, peace and tranquility, said the Archbishop and Metropolitan of Ternopil-Zboriv Archeparchy Vasyl Semenyuk. – We pray for the soldiers that his chest is there, on the battlefield, protect us. We believe that the Lord will hear our prayers and bless all our Ukrainian people!" Archbishop and Metropolitan of Ternopil-Zboriv Archeparchy Vasyl Semeniuk thanked all the faithful for the support of troops and emphasized that to be indifferent to the fate of Ukraine – a great sin. Participation in the procession was attended by the Chairman of regional state administration, Stepan Barna, Deputy Chairman of regional Council Victor Ovcharuk, the mayor Sergey Nadal. "Lent is a special time in the life of every Christian, - said the head of the edge. – We reflect on the passion of Jesus Christ, and at the same time think over your life. This is the way of the cross everyone has their own intentions, but we share one thing – a request for peace and quiet, about our guys that are in the area of ATO, wounded, of the families of the fallen Heroes".
