In Lviv ongoing project aimed at preventing child injury on the road
In the Lviv region law enforcement management and Ukrtranslizing joined the project "to Identify yourself in the dark", which is being held in the Zhovkva district. In the framework of the campaign police officers teach children safety rules on road, and the organizers of the event – give children bright reflective flicker. Recently, the project participants were students of Junior school in the village Kulikov. Therefore, about 200 children have received «sun» charms and learned how to behave on the street, not to get under wheels of cars. The militiamen told the students that their peers often become participants of road accident, and also explained why there are such cases. Police officers reminded the kids how to cross the road and how to navigate in difficult driving situations. And another warned: any game on the road – is extremely dangerous and can turn into a disaster. The militiamen explained to the children why we need reflective elements and advised definitely’sure to use them to become more visible on the road. Police representatives also told the students about the rules of safety for passengers and cyclists. At the end of the meeting the children received from the organizers reflective flickers and thematic booklets.
