In the Zhytomyr region officially about the situation concerning the pollution of the rivers Sluch and Gomora
On-site Baranovsky district external observations were recorded deterioration in the ecological status of the rivers Sluch and Homura that was accompanied by a change in the smell of water, the appearance of dead fish and an oily substance on the bottom of rivers. 14.03.2016 State environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine were carried out with measurement of the composition and properties of the waters of these rivers. Repeated measurements were conducted 05.04.2016 year. According to the conclusion of the State sanitary-epidemiological service water in Homura no corresponds SanPiN 4630-88 for contaminants. According to preliminary information, the situation is due to unauthorized dumping of wastes produced by "Penske cardboard and paper mill" at the village of Poninka Khmelnitsky region in Homore, which is a tributary of the Sluch and improper functioning of the sewage treatment plant in city Polonnoe. Prepared and sent letters to the Ministry of ecology and natural resources of Ukraine and the Khmelnytsky regional state administration for assistance in resolving the issue of restoring the proper functioning of treatment facilities in city Polonnoe, LLC "Penske cardboard and paper mill". 18.04.2016 year, in accordance with the decision of the extraordinary meeting of the regional Commission on questions TEB and emergency working group with the aim of immediate acceptance of additional measures on liquidation of consequences and causes of an accident-related water pollution, destruction of fish and crayfish, organized directly at the scene. The working group confirmed that the ecological status of the river Homora not stabilized, the water grey-green with a persistent musty odor in the water is unknown substance that settles on the river bottom and on the algae. On the banks of the river Sluch is the massive accumulation of dead fish and crayfish. For constant monitoring of water conditions in rivers and homura the Case.
