In Lutsk “the Easter egg Dyvosvit. 20 years”
In art-gallery “Lutsk” is exhibited in the retrospective exhibition “the Painted Dyvosvit. 20 years.” There are more than 300 Easter eggs, which were promulgated in different years, starting from 1996 – the time of the opening of the city contest “Painted Dyvosvit”. The exhibition will continue until may 3, 2016. During the exhibition in the art-gallery “Lutsk” will be held charity workshops on painting Easter eggs for children of special categories and workshops to which everyone can join. The project is implemented in cooperation of Department of culture of the city Council and Lutsk city center of social services for family, children and youth. The purpose of the contest - the approval of the Easter traditions of our region, engaging children in learning and promote unique traditional Ukrainian art – themselves, identifying creatively gifted children. The participants must be children and youth from 8 to 18, art students and educational institutions in the city. All work submitted to the contest must be original and made in the traditional manner – wax painting, painting with natural or chemical dyes. For students of the art school 1-3rd years of teaching drawing is a compulsory subject in the curriculum. The teachers of the schools creative approach to learning and practical children mastering the technology themselves, pass on their skills to not only pupils, but also provide assistance to everyone, actively participate in exhibitions. In 2008 at the exhibition were presented works of pupils of art school of Brest (Belarus). Every year the exhibition displays works by some 300 participants, this nearly 1000 Easter eggs. For 20 years during the exhibition were exhibited more than 15 thousand Easter eggs about 5 thousand participants. Lutsk exhibition-competition of Easter eggs is one of the few in Ukraine. Children show great interest in preparing for it. A characteristic feature of the exhibition is the opportunity to exchange experience between the participants during the presentation of the work. Partly the works of the winners are transferred to the Volyn regional Museum, or other institution for public viewing luchinami. The opening ceremony of the annual contest is traditionally held in the exhibition hall of the Lutsk art school and art-gallery “Lutsk” with the participation of the clergy, government officials, and the public. The winners are awarded with diplomas, commendations and valuable gifts.
