Decentralization in action: the revenues of the local budgets in the first quarter of
the Mechanism of decentralization in the Zhytomyr region shows its first results. According to PG the SFS of Ukraine in Zhytomyr oblast, during the first quarter of 2016 local budgets received UAH 713 million in taxes and fees. Local governments on the development of their communities has received 224 million USD, or 46% more than within similar period of last year. With income budgets of more than half – pit, the proceeds of which in comparison with year 2015 has increased by half and amounted to RUB 411.4 million. Other revenues – rental fees for the use of forest – 27.7 million USD, water – 1.6 million, mineral resources of 7.6 million USD. Three months of 2016, residents of the area paid to 87.4 million UAH of tax on property and 52.8 million UAH of land tax.
