According to the forecast indicators, the agricultural producers of all forms of ownership is expected to sow spring crops on the area of 496,4 thousand ha, including spring grains and leguminous plants – 237,6 thousand hectares, sugar beet – 17,0 thousand hectares, soybean – 93.7 thousand ha, sunflower – 39,0 thousand ha, potatoes and vegetables – 69.8 thousand hectares and fodder and other crops was 38.6 hectares In the cropping pattern the share of grain crops will make up 57.5 per cent", - said Vitaly Lui. Of them of early grain and leguminous sown – 103,0 thousand hectares, which is 103% of the forecast, sugar beet – 18,1 thousand hectares (106%), maize for grain – 53.6 thousand ha (43,3%), sunflower – 32,4 thousand hectares (83,1%), potatoes – 55,8 thousand hectares, vegetables – 6,1 thousand hectares, soybean – 17,2 thousand hectares (18.4 per cent), fodder crops and 30.8 thousand hectares.
