In Vinnytsia region in the village Lipovets a monument to liquidators of the Chernobyl accident (+photo)
25 April, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster in the town of Lipovec the long-awaited opening of the monument to "Liquidators of the Chernobyl accident and participants of the nuclear test 1986". The Grand opening was held near Alexander state fire and rescue part ¹ 21 with the participation of government leaders, liquidators of the Chernobyl accident, employees of the offices of departments and structural units of RSA and the public. During the event, the audience was addressed by the Chairman of the district state administration Ivan Demin, Deputy Chairman of the district Council Ruslan Tarasyuk, city Chairman Nicholas Grushko and the Chairman of regional public organization "Union Chernobyl Ukraine" Vladimir Selchuk. The right to open a memorial sign was given to the participants of liquidation of the Chernobyl accident and Dagur Constantine Alexander Bagriy. The participants observed a minute of silence for those who perished and died from the consequences of the accident. The rite of consecration of the monument was held by the Abbot of the Temple of the UOC-Kyiv Patriarchate parish of the Holy Resurrection of Christ, father Basil. Upon completion, the participants paid tribute to the victims and laid flowers to just open a memorable sign.
