In Zhytomyr region the Chernobyl disaster in the documents.
April 25, in the State archives of Zhytomyr region opened an exhibition of originals of archival documents and periodical printing "For the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster". The opening was attended by government representatives, the participants-liquidators of Chernobyl disaster, students, environmentalists and concerned the public. The exhibition features more than 50 original archive materials, including compilation of documents of the state and local authorities to assist in the elimination of Chernobyl accident, creation of operational teams, bringing in the willingness of non-militarized forces, the evacuation of the population and the provision of housing. Interesting is that almost 70% of the documents bore the stamp restricting access "top secret", "secret" and only after their declassification, the public has the opportunity to review them on a common basis. All material presented at the exhibition state of the active implementation of measures aimed at eliminating the accident and its consequences.
