Volynska oblast: solemn events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster (photos,video)
April 26, in Lutsk hosted the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of one of the largest manmade disasters of mankind – the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Representatives of the regional and local authorities, the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident and their families, the staff of the office of DSNS Ukraine in the Volyn region traditionally and the public gathered at the monument’yatno sign «Victims of Chernobyl” at the memorial of Eternal Glory. Participants of the rally spoke about the heroism of the heroes who have offered their condolences to the seven ' pits dead and were the only ones in the assertion that everything must be done to a disaster of that magnitude never happened. Symbolic sounded 30 times Chernobyl bells, forever expelled to the history of another year of post-Chernobyl era. The participants of the event laid flowers to the monument’yatno sign «Victims of Chernobyl" and observed a minute of silence for those who died in the aftermath of the Chernobyl accident or from the effects of radiation exposure. With former employees of fire departments, who from the first after the accident until 1991 it was introduced to overcome the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster, met the head of Department DSNS of Ukraine in the Volyn region Vladimir Grushavoy. During the solemn meeting on the basis of the special fire equipment of the city of Lutsk took delivery of pam’commemorative awards “30 years pam's memory of Chernobyl” the liquidators of all-firemen. After the inaugural session, those present prayed for the repose of those who laid their lives in the fight against peaceful atom, and prayed for the health’I the liquidators of one of the largest manmade disasters of mankind.
