Kozaytyn district Central library hosted the official opening of the European information Point. Its implementation was made possible thanks to the victory in the project "All about Europe: read, listen, and learn the European information Points in libraries" from the SBI, "Ukrainian library Association" and of the European Union program "Erasmus+" (Jean Monnet). A pleasant event gathered in the library of many guests: representatives of the city authorities, readers, and librarians from the villages of the district and local schools. The participants of the open offered a program that included an excursion into the history of the European Union, which was represented by the Director of the Central regional library Tatiana Dyachuk, musical greetings from Tatiana and Vitalina Fabicki Balsanek, the performance of the members of Euroclub (Komsomol library for adults). In parallel, the presentation of tasks, services and opportunities that the library users will be able to realize when the Point of the European information. Among these, in particular, access to numerous information resources, both print and electronic, culture, economy and values of European countries. For convenient work with the virtual information, the library also received e-êíèãóPocketBook, which has already been downloaded about 50 of the licensed works on Europe and the European integration movement of Ukraine. - The competition was attended by 163 libraries from all regions of Ukraine. The competition jury selected the 83 libraries that in 2016, will create a European Item information (Item A), - said the Director of the CRH Tatyana Dyachuk. – The coordinator was a member of the International scientific-practical conference, was trained and received a certificate. The point of the European information in the library will provide access to all interested parties to information resources and electronic databases on the functioning of the European Union institutions, training opportunities, participation in youth and other EU programmes.
