In the Transcarpathian region rescuers honored the memory of liquidators of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant
April 26, in Uzhgorod on the square of Friendship of peoples, near the monument’of the monument to Transcarpathian liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster took place the meeting-Requiem. To honor the memory of the dead was attended by representatives of Executive authorities and self-government, law enforcement agencies, diplomatic agencies, the heads of districts, representatives of public organizations and Transcarpathian rescuers led by the head of Department DSNS of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region Roman Office. A minute of silence and laying flowers at the monument 'monument to the participants honored the memory' the memory of the liquidators who have prematurely gone from the life, leaving a sharp pain of loss and the cherished memory of grateful generations. Chernobyl – not only a great tragedy, but also a symbol of boundless courage of many thousands of our countrymen. The Chernobyl disaster, thanks to the sacrifice of the liquidators of the accident - has become a symbol of sacrifice’, I the Motherland, in the name’I millions of people and future generations. Risking their lives and health ' pits, they performed their duty’communications and protect humanity from the harmful effects and further spread of radiation. To be worthy of their memory's a memory and not forget their heroism is the task of the modern generation. A terrible tragedy did not pass our firefighters. Only through the crucible of Chernobyl (for the period from 1986 to 1991) held 52 employees of fire protection region – from private to Colonel. Transcarpathian liquidators on par with other provided fire protection for operating nuclear power plant, protected from the fire evacuated the city of Pripyat, Chernobyl and the villages of 30 km zone, was extinguished peatbogs and forest fires, performed preventive works on various objects. And now they do not remain aloof from the everyday life of a firefighter-rescuers the edge: take an active part in the upbringing and education of younger generation, willingly giving them their rich experience of hard work.
