During the conference, participants discussed new ways and methods of treating patients with kidney cancer, because each year in Vinnytsia region there are nearly 200 patients with kidney cancer, and 30% of patients in the advanced stage. According to the chief doctor of the Vinnytsia regional Oncology center Vladimir Shamray, today in the region the total number of cancer patients of about 41 thousand people, this figure grows each year by 2-3% , so in Vinnytsia region will be offered a program of treatment of patients with kidney cancer using the targeted drug firm Pfizer countn. "In the world since 2004 practiced targeted therapy, which does not have such harmful effects on the body as chemotherapy. This year the Vinnitsa regional Oncology center received a 10 million USD. for chemotherapy, but at the expense of the local budget it is not possible to buy expensive drugs for targeted therapy. Therefore, at the level of the Ministry of health of Ukraine countb should be included in the nomenclature," - said Vladimir Shamray. As head of the Department of Oncology VNMU M. D. Alexander Kostyuk: "Our task is to treat at the highest level, according to European standards.
